A grant has been sanctioned towards the cost of the proposed new national school at Ballydehob, County Cork, and the further arrangements are now a matter for the school authorities' architect working on consultation with the Commissioners of Public Works.
It is understood from the commissioners that they are awaiting the submission of working drawings. At this stage it is not possible to state when building work may commence.

It has been decided to allow tenders to be invited for the building of the proposed new national school at Kilmacabea, Leap, County Cork, and my Department will be writing formally to the chairman of the board of management and to the Commissioners of Public Works in this connection at a very early date. It is not possible to state at this stage when building work may commence.

Working drawings for the proposed new national school at Dunmanway, County Cork, have been completed by the Commissioners of Public Works. A review of enrolment trends is in hands with a view to confirming the accommodation needs of the school. On completion of this review the preparation of a bill of quantities and other contract documents will be authorised. It is not possible to state at this stage when building work may commence.
