asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of applicants waiting for telephone service on St. Columba's Road, Dublin 12; and when service will be provided for them.

There are 22 applicants awaiting telephone service at St. Columba's Road, Dublin 12. It is expected that service will be provided for them within the next two or three months.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a suitable telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; and the reasons for the delay in having his telephone account problem dealt with.

There have been a number of recent reports of faulty service by the subscriber concerned but on each occasion on which the line was tested it was found to be in good working order. The line is being further tested, however, to establish if there is an intermittent fault on it, and it is expected this examination will be completed shortly. The account position will be examined in the light of the outcome of this examination.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the reasons for the delay in having a query regarding a telephone bill investigated for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12; and when the investigation will be completed to his satisfaction.

The subscriber has been informed in writing on two occasions that the account which he is disputing has been investigated and has been found to be correct. In view of the further representations made in his case arrangements have been made for an official of my Department to discuss the account position with the subscriber at an early date.

I understand fully the frustration felt at the delay in providing telephones. However, it is expected that service will be provided for the person named within about two months.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of applicants waiting for telephone service on Quarry Drive, Crumlin, Dublin 12; and when service will be provided.

There are four applicants awaiting telephone service in Quarry Drive, Crumlin, Dublin 12. It is expected that service will be provided for them during the first half of next year.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone will be installed for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 as she has been waiting for three years and is a widow and foster-mother.

I understand fully the frustration felt at the delay in providing telephones. I regret, however, that it will not be possible to meet this application until necessary additional engineering work is carried out.

The objective of the Department's current telephone development programme is to provide a fully satisfactory telephone service nationally in terms of both quality and availability by the end of 1984 and it is expected that service will be provided for the person named next year.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when it is intended to erect a telephone kiosk at Ballynare Crossroads, Kilcloon, County Meath.

It is planned to erect a public telephone kiosk outside Ballynare Catholic Church. It will be erected as soon as possible after the necessary consents to the site selected have been received.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a private telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

It is expected that telephone service will be provided for the person named during the first half of next year.

I very much regret the delay. However by the end of 1984 the vast majority of telephone applications will be met on demand.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the reason for the long delay in providing a telephone service for a person (details supplied) in County Kerry for business purposes.

It has not been possible to provide service so far for the person named because of the volume of engineering work on hands and requiring attention in the County Kerry area.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the reason for the long delay in providing a telephone service for a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

It has not been possible to provide service so far the person named whose application was received in August 1983, because of the volume of engineering work on hands and requiring attention in the County Kerry area.

The objective of the Department's current telephone development programme is to provide a fully satisfactory telephone service by the end of 1984 and it is expected that service will be provided for the person named during the first half of next year.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when the public telephone kiosk at Dungeagan, Ballinskelligs, County Kerry, will be erected under the council's guarantee scheme.

It is planned to provide a telephone kiosk as soon as possible after the necessary consents to a suitable site have been obtained and the legal formalities completed.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when the proposed telephone kiosk under the county councils' guarantee scheme will be erected at Glencuttane, Kilgobnet, Beaufort PO, County Kerry, where an undisputed site is available (details supplied).

My Department have not been approached by Kerry County Council seeking provision of a kiosk under the guarantee scheme at Glencuttane, and are not aware that any such decision has been made by the council. If, however, a request is received for a kiosk under the guarantee scheme at the location in question, my Department will be happy to make provision for it in next year's kiosk programme.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service under the free telephone rental scheme will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Kerry who has paid her deposit.

It is expected that telephone service will be provided for the person named within about two months.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the position regarding an application for a telephone service by a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

Service will be provided for the person named as soon as the necessary additional engineering work can be carried out.
