I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the repayment claim submitted by the taxpayer in this case did not include all of the information required by the inspector of taxes to enable the claim to be processed. The inspector has written to the taxpayer to clarify the outstanding matters and is awaiting the supply of the necessary particulars.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a certificate of tax-free allowances for the current year, 1983-84, was issued to the taxpayer on 12 October 1983. Any tax overdeducted from the taxpayer's earnings since 6 April last is refundable by the employer when the certificate is put into operation.
