Vol. 345 No. 11

Written Answers. - Home Help Programme.

398.

asked the Minister for Health if he will make a statement on the home help programme of the Eastern Health Board from 1971 to 1982 outlining (a) the number of home helps, (b) the number of home help recipients and (c) the amount of money spent on the home help service for the elderly, in so far as this can be distinguished from home help services for others, for the whole Eastern Health Board area and the eight community care service areas within it, as well as Counties Wicklow and Kildare; and if he will give the figures for each home help organisation in the EHB area.

In view of the considerable amount of time it would take to gather the information required, I would suggest that the Deputy direct his inquiry to the Eastern Health Board.

399.

asked the Minister for Health if he will refund a home help allowance to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

This lady was not at any time in receipt of a home help allowance from the SouthEastern Health Board. She was in receipt of supplementary welfare allowance which was discontinued when she was granted an unmarried mother's allowance by the Department of Social Welfare.
