A sketch scheme for a proposed new boys' national school building at Portlaw, County Waterford, has been approved and satisfactory proof of title to the school site was recently accepted by the Chief State Solicitor. A grant will be sanctioned in the near future towards the cost of the project. It is not possible at this stage to say when building work on the project may commence.
