Vol. 345 No. 11

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take No. 6. Private Members' Business, No. 44, will be taken between 7 p.m. and 8.30 p.m.

(Limerick West): Will the Taoiseach confirm whether he has decided to give Government time for discussion of the milk super-levy?

I can confirm that as a result of discussions between the Whips, which I had suggested, there is agreement to provide time for a debate to deal with the negotiations, which include the financial arrangements of the Community, the extension of own resources and, of course, an issue of vital concern to us, the milk super-levy.

I wish to raise on the Adjournment the health implications in regard to the Windscale project.

The Chair will communicate with the Deputy.

I should like to have written replies to the following Questions: Nos. 147, 189, 257, 258, 259 and 260.

The Chair would point out for the convenience of Deputies that it is not necessary to request in the House that this be done: Deputies may ask in the General Office.

For the sixth time, I give notice that I want to raise on the Adjournment the dumping of nuclear waste into the Irish Sea.

The Chair will communicate with Deputy Allen.

Will the Taoiseach indicate when a decision will be announced about the 1984 local elections? I am sure he will agree that it is not fair to those involved to delay an announcement any longer.

An announcement will be made in the next couple of weeks.

After the by-election.

They should have been announced during the past four months.

We got notice of only three weeks.
