The organiser of the proposed Abbeyshrule group water scheme, County Longford, has been advised by my Department not to make a commitment to a contractor until the grant allocation and financing of the scheme are evaluated. These matters are presently receiving attention in my Department and a certificate of approval provisionally allocating State grants will issue to the group as early as possible.
