asked the Minister for the Environment if he will review a decision of his Department regarding the approval of a £3,000 mortgage subsidy in view of the exceptional circumstances of the person (details supplied) in County Roscommon.
It is not possible to approve a mortgage subsidy in this case because between 23 July 1981 and 25 March, 1982 the subsidy was restricted to persons who were married or intending to marry within 12 months of the date of execution of the mortgage deed.
The applicant in this case was single at the time of application and his marriage did not take place within 12 months of the date of execution of the mortgage deed.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to have an inspector call with a view to approving a £1,000 new house grant for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as his application was refused.
There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a new house grant from the person named.
