asked the Minister for Health when sanction and grants will be made available for the voluntary welfare home in Callan, County Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have not received any proposals from the South-Eastern Health Board for the provision of a welfare home in Callan. Detailed plans and costings for a home to accommodate 17 residents are being prepared by the voluntary group involved for submission to the South-Eastern Board for consideration.

asked the Minister for Health when the proposal from the voluntary group in respect of the health care home in Ballyragget, County Kilkenny, will be given approval; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I understand that a local voluntary group intend to convert and adapt a house in Ballyragget to accommodate 12 residents. The group is currently preparing detailed plans and costings for submission to the South-Eastern Health Board.

asked the Minister for Health when work will commence on the health centre in Graiguenamanagh, County Kilkenny.

The health board in association with the County Council have put forward a proposal to the Minister for the Environment for a joint development to commence in 1984. This development would include a public library and a health centre.
