In reply to a question of 15 November 1983 on the staffing of the school in question, I explained that the assignment of teachers to an individual vocational school from within the authorised allocation is the responsibility of the vocational education committee.
Apart from consideration of the pressure of the duties of my office as Minister for Education, which would not allow me to arrange to meet deputations from all individual schools which might request a meeting with me, I should point out that the assignment of teachers to Waterville vocational school is, accordingly, a matter for determination by County Kerry Vocational Education Committee and that I have no function in the matter.
