The numbers of tuberculosis reactor animals identified and slaughtered since 1973 are as follows: 1973, 36,687; 1974, 46,656; 1975, 21,339; 1976, 24,888; 1977, 51,268; 1978, 31,238; 1979, 21,483; 1980, 26,581; 1981, 29,755; 1982, 26,821.
It is estimated that about 28,000 reactors will be slaughtered this year.
