asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a business telephone will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.

I am sorry that it has not been possible to complete necessary inquiries in the time available. I will write to the Deputy in the matter when the inquiries have been completed.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.

Service will be provided as soon as possible for the person named but it is unlikely that the necessary cabling can be completed before the middle of next year. I regret the delay in providing telephones. However, within a year the vast bulk of applications will be met on demand.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the steps his Department are taking to assist a person (details supplied) in County Wexford to ensure that he received an accurate telephone bill; and if the account in dispute will be reduced.

This subscriber's telephone account has been investigated and was found to be correct. The meter and associated equipment were also checked and were found to be in good working order. It is not, I regret, possible to reduce the bill in question.

It has not been possible in the time available to trace an application on behalf of the person named. If the Deputy can furnish additional information, for example, when and where the application was made, further efforts will be made to trace it.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the time scale for the remainder of the manual post offices in the Innishowen Peninsula, County Donegal, changing to automatic.

It is expected that Ballygorman, Carndonagh and Malin exchanges will be converted to automatic working early next year. The then remaining manual exchanges in the Inishowen Peninsula will be converted progressively through the second half of next year.

It has not been possible in the time available to trace an application on behalf of the person named. If the Deputy can furnish additional information, for example, when and where the application was made, further efforts will be made to trace it.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if an investigation has been carried out in respect of the telephone account of a person (details supplied) in County Galway; and if so, the outcome of this investigation.

The account in question is being investigated. I shall communicate with the Deputy when the investigation is completed.

The objective of the Department's current telephone development programme is to provide a fully satisfactory telephone service nationally in terms of both quality and availability by the end of 1984 and it is expected that service will be provided for the person named about the middle of next year.

Arrangements have been made to carry out a special examination of the subscriber's line within the next day or so.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the action he proposes to take to deal with the telephone complaint of a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.

Numerous queries have been received from the subscriber in question including one in November 1983. They have all been dealt with. If the Deputy lets me know in what respect the subscriber is still dissatisfied, I will be glad to have the matter investigated.
