I presume the Deputy is referring to the Western Development Fund which is administered on my behalf by the central development committee which is attached to my Department.
While limited grant assistance was made available from this fund towards the development of two landing facilities in the west in the past, the question of State support for the development of regional and local airport development is now a matter for the Minister for Transport. The issue of providing assistance from the Western Development Fund for any further regional or local airport development does not therefore arise.
