The services of this consultancy firm are available to my Department as well as to my personal office.
No appointment has been made from outside the Civil Service to my office since 15 December 1982. The number of persons working in my office is eight at a cost in 1983 of £72,812 (no overtime was paid). This compares with a staff of 16 in my predecessor's office the cost of which for nine months in 1982 was £99,171 (including £14,348 overtime).
