Written Answers. - Grant and Mortgage Subsidy Payments.

337.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a £1,000 new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.

When the person named notifies my Department that the house has been completed and that he is in permanent occupation of the house an inspection will be arranged with a view to payment of a grant.

338.

asked the Minister for the Environment the position regarding an application for a £1,000 grant and a mortgage subsidy for a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house is satisfactorily completed and occupied and complies with all the other conditions of the grant scheme. The inspection will be arranged when the person named notifies my Department that he is in occupation of the house.

A mortgage subsidy is not being sought in this case.

339.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will carry out a detailed examination into the circumstances surrounding the payment of a reduced subsidy for a new house to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon

The subsidy paid in this case was the amount warranted by the certificates received in my Department and consequently no further sums are due to the applicant on foot of those certificates.

340.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in paying a £1,000 new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a new house grant from the person named.
