This transaction involves the sale to my Department of commonage shares held by the person mentioned, his wife and a third party. Because the sale is dependent on a transfer to the Department of other lands (held by a son of the third party) which has been held up due to certain title difficulties, completion of the commonage transaction has not yet been possible. However, I understand that progress recently made towards a resolution of these legal problems will help to expedite the vesting of the commonage shares in my Department and enable payment of the purchase money to be made.
The purchase price for land as between my Department and individual vendors is confidential and it is not the practice to publish it.
