asked the Minister for Education if she will approve the appointment of two additional teachers in Tralee vocational school, County Kerry, in view of the fact that history and geography have been dropped from the curriculum because they have not enough teachers.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 122, 123 and 124 together.
The statutory responsibility for the appointment of vocational teachers to Tralee Vocational School rests with the Town of Tralee Vocational Education Committee, subject to the appointments being within the approved allocation of teachers for the committee.
The approved allocation of teachers for the school-year 1983-84 was notified to the committee last March.
