In a letter of 7 July 1983 I advised vocational education committees as follows:—
(i) 25 per cent of the grant to be expended on Sport for All activities;
(ii) The remainder of the grant should be divided between youth and sports activities and may include:—
(a) grants to clubs in respect of administrative costs, training and coaching courses, purchase of equipment;
(b) organisation by vocational education committees of training, coaching and other courses and activities relevant to youth and sports clubs and to young people.
