The Government see the EEC Council Resolution on the promotion of employment for young people as a constructive measure designed to express the commitment of the Community and of member states to do everything possible to provide employment for young people. Our general approach is one of positive support. The Minister of State at my Department indicated this on behalf of the Government at the Council of Social Affairs Ministers on 8 December 1983 at which the resolution was adopted.
