As has already been indicated, in this House and elsewhere, a general review of local authority finances is being carried out by my Department.
I have no further statement to make in the matter at this stage.
Can we take it that the Minister does not propose to introduce any legislation in the coming year which will alter the method of financing local authorities?
I will take that decision when I feel it is necessary.
