The capital projects in County Galway to be funded by my Department in 1984 are as follows:

These are ongoing projects being undertaken by An Chomhairle Oiliúna Talmhaíochta (ACOT) and the funds will be provided to ACOT by my Department by way of a grant-in-aid for capital purposes.
It is not possible at this time to forecast the total amount of capital grants which will become payable in 1984 to individual farmers in County Galway under the farm modernisation scheme (including the western drainage scheme and the programme for western development). Expenditure in 1983 was approximately £3 million.
