Vol. 347 No. 7

Written Answers. - Bread Supplies to Hospitals.

287.

asked the Minister for Health if he will give details of the tenders in relation to the provision of bread to all hospitals in County Wexford as advertised by the South Eastern Health Board.

The information which the Deputy is seeking is a matter for the South Eastern Health Board and is not routinely available to my Department. In the circumstances, if the Deputy wishes to obtain the details which he requires I suggest that he contacts the board.

288.

asked the Minister for Health if it is his intention to ensure that all bread supplied to hospitals under his jurisdiction should be made from Irish flour; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

It is my intention to ensure that in so far as is possible all bread supplied to hospitals under my jurisdiction should be made from Irish flour. In view of my reply I do not consider that a statement on this matter is necessary.
