Vol. 347 No. 7

Written Answers. - Walkinstown (Dublin) Crime Level.

312.

asked the Minister for Justice if he is aware of the level of housebreaking and vandalism in the Limekiln Farm area of Walkinstown, County Dublin; if he will state in this context the number of gardaí available in Crumlin Garda station which serves this area; and if an increase in the manning levels at the station will be provided.

Limerick East): I would refer the Deputy to my reply to Questions Nos. 99 and 100 on 14 December 1983 about the incidence of crime and vandalism in the Walkinstown and adjoining areas in which I dealt with the measures being taken by the Garda to deal with the problem. The total Garda strength at Crumlin station has been increased from 65 to 68 since that date and the Garda authorities propose to allocate an additional garda there on 10 February.
