Vol. 347 No. 9

Written Answers. - US President's Visit.

310.

asked the Minister for the Environment if, in view of the impending visit of the President of the United States, Mr. Ronald Reagan, to South Tipperary he will consider giving a special allocation to South Tipperary County Council to defray the costs of it; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There are no funds available to me from which a special allocation could be made for this purpose. The county council will no doubt take account of the visit in deciding on the programmes to be undertaken this year including programmes to be financed from the extensive State grants and loans provided.
