asked the Minister for the Environment if the first instalment of a mortgage subsidy for a new house will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as the instalment was claimed before Christmas and he has been repaying his mortgage for over 12 months.

A claim for payment of the first instalment of the five-year subsidy was received in my Department on 4 January 1984. It will be paid as soon as possible and a claim form for the second instalment will then issue.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to have the final inspection for a house improvement grant carried out for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as the work has been completed for about five months, the certificate of completion forwarded to his Department and several communications sent to the Department requesting an inspection.
A final inspection with a view to payment of a grant in this case will be carried out very soon.
