The provision of new orthopaedic theatres and ancillary facilities at Merlin Park Regional Hospital, Galway, is being considered in the context of the medium-term health capital programme, at present under review.
My Department have recently been discussing with the Western Health Board possible options in relation to the provision of orthopaedic theatre facilities at Merlin Park Hospital and I expect to receive proposals from the board on the issue shortly.
