Written Answers. - Local Authority Apprentices.
The employment of apprentices, in common with other non-officer grades, is a matter for each local authority and one in which I have no function. On the basis of information supplied by local authorities the following are the numbers of apprentices employed by each local authority as at 31 December 1982, the latest date for which figures are available. These figures do not give any breakdown regarding the numbers of such apprentices in the different years of apprenticeship.
