asked the Minister for Education when it is proposed to sanction the provision of a new CBS secondary school in Westport, County Mayo; and if she will indicate the steps that now need to be taken before a contractor can be appointed to the scheme.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 485 and 486 together.
Pending the completion of a review of the building programme for second-level schools in the context of capital availability, commitments and priorities, I am not in a position to say when the new Christian Brothers' school at Westport may be released for tender or when work may be commenced.
