The initiation of arrangements for the provision of a new fire station in Skerries is a matter in the first instance for the appropriate fire authority. There are no proposals at present before my Department for such a project. However, I understand that the corporation intend to go ahead with the provision of a new fire station in Skerries as soon as a suitable site, which is currently being sought, has been acquired.
