My Department have under consideration the question of providing additional classroom accommodation at Scoil Íde, Ard na Mara, Salthill, Galway, and will be in touch with the school authorities in the near future about the matter.

asked the Minister for Education the position regarding an application for the appointment of a remedial teacher at Scoil Íde, Ard na Mara, Salthill, Galway.
Scoil Íde, Ard na Mara, Salthill, Galway, and Scoil Einde, Salthill, Galway, have the shared services of a remedial teaching post since July 1974. The applications of schools for these posts are examined by my Department and posts are allocated to the schools from the available allocation of teachers in accordance with a priority of need.
Following careful consideration, the application of Scoil Íde was not placed sufficiently high in order of priority of need to warrant the allocation of a full-time post in the school-year 1983-84.
