There is no record in my Department of an application under this scheme from the person named. The letter referred to by the Deputy related to a grant in course of payment to another person of the same surname and address and issued in error at the time to the person named.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a £1,000 new house grant and a mortgage interest subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.
The file in this case is with my Department's inspector for a final inspection with a view to payment of the grant. Payment of the first instalment of the subsidy will be made when the grant has been paid to the person named.

A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house is satisfactorily completed and occupied and complies with all the other conditions of the grant scheme. An inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for the Environment the position regarding an application for a new house grant submitted some time ago by a person (details supplied) in County Louth.
When the person named submits the documents requested by my Department (i.e. specification, form S.L.4 (tax certificates) and house plans) his file will be referred to my Department's inspector for investigation and report with a view to allocation of a grant.
