The question of repossession of boats is a matter for decision by An Bord Iascaigh Mhara in their administration of the marine credit plan.
Pending finalisation of the draft report of the Sectoral Consultative Committee for the Fishing Industry and decisions being taken as regards recommendations of the committee, I am unable to say what effect the committee's report may have on the problem of arrears in the fishing fleet. In the circumstances it would not be appropriate for me to interfere with the board's procedures in this matter.
