A payable order for £35 in respect of arrears of children's allowance due for the months July and August 1983 was issued to the claimant on 26 October 1983. It has been confirmed that the payable order was cashed on 28 October 1983.
In view of the Deputy's representations the local social welfare officer is being asked to produce a copy of the cashed payable order for her inspection. The position will be reviewed in the light of the officer's report and the claimant will be notified of the outcome.
