Vol. 348 No. 8

Written Answers. - Individual Tax Refunds.

413.

asked the Minister for Finance if a refund of income tax will be paid immediately to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer ceased employment on 30 November last. Neither a notification of cessation of employment nor a claim for repayment of overpaid tax has been received by the commissioners and the inspector of taxes is now taking the matter up with the taxpayer.

414.

asked the Minister for Finance if tax will be refunded to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that examination of the claim in this case, which is a complex one, has not yet been completed. A letter in relation to the matters outstanding will be issued by the Revenue to the tax-payer's agents as soon as possible.

415.

asked the Minister for Finance if a refund of income tax will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as he has been unemployed for some time.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that no claim for repayment of tax has been received from the taxpayer. It is understood that the taxpayer ceased employment on 26 January 1984. If he has not resumed employment, he should submit his claim for repayment to the Inspector of Taxes together with form P50 and form P45 — parts 2 and 3.
