My Department directly employ cleaners for cleaning three of their four office buildings. The present rate of pay for a cleaner is £106.61 per week. Cleaners are entitled to the usual conditions regarding annual and sick leave which apply to unestablished civil servants. The remaining office building is cleaned by a firm of contract cleaners.
