Vol. 348 No. 11

Written Answers. - Bord Iascaigh Mhara.

414.

asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry the present position regarding the offices required by Bord Iascaigh Mhara in Dún Laoghaire; if Bord Iascaigh Mhara have got the agreement of the Irish union representing the staff involved in the proposed transfer; the estimated cost of such a transfer; the total cost of insurance from the signing of the lease acquiring the Dún Laoghaire premises; if the headquarters have been advertised for letting; and the results of any such advertising to date.

(a) The present position with regard to the occupancy of the board's offices at Dún Laoghaire is that fitting out contractors are in occupation. Should there be no untoward hold-up it is expected the fitting out operations will be completed by 1 July 1984.

(b) Agreement has not yet been reached with any union regarding the proposed move.

(c) Approximately IR£750,000.

(d) IR£10,500 from signing of the lease to 31 December 1983.

(e) The board's interests in the Hume House premises have been and still are being advertised for sale and BIM's letting agents are doing everything possible to let the premises in whole or in part.
