Because of the restricted nature of the site which posed planning difficulties it was first necessary to prepare a feasibility study as to how the additional accommodation for St. Joseph's Christian Brothers' national school, Drogheda, might best be provided. Following the approval of the feasibility study by the Department of Education developed sketch plans had to be prepared. These have now been completed and sent to the Department of Education for consideration.
The sanction of a grant and the approval of the sketch plans by the Department are awaited before the project can be further advanced.
