asked the Minister for Social Welfare the total number on the unemployed register in the Walkinstown/Greenhills/Templeogue areas of Dublin 12, at present.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the total number on the unemployed register in the Clondalkin area.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the total number on the unemployed register in the Tallaght area.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the total number on the unemployed register in the Dublin area.

It is proposed to take Questions Nos. 488 to 491, inclusive, together.

Statistics are not maintained in a way which would enable the information sought in respect of Walkinstown, Greenhills and Templeogue areas of Dublin 12 to be furnished. The total number of persons registered as unemployed at present in the Dublin area is 61,163 which includes 2,138 persons in the Clondalkin area and 3,985 persons in the Tallaght area.

492.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the reason an invalidity pension has not yet been provided for a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary as he has been on disability benefit for a considerable time; and when it will be provided for him.

The person concerned has been in receipt of disability benefit since 11 March 1983 and payment has been made to date.

A form on which to claim invalidity pension has been forwarded to him and on its return, duly completed, the claim will be dealt with without delay.
