I am informed that the City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee decided on 13 March 1984 to renew the offer which had been rejected that day by the Teachers' Union of Ireland and, in addition, to agree that the matter in dispute be referred to an independent party, for examination, and that the Teachers' Union of Ireland response is awaited. I am also informed that another union which had been involved in the industrial dispute at Kevin Street College of Technology have decided to withdraw from their strike action in consideration of the committee's decision.
