asked the Minister for Agriculture when headage grants will be paid to persons (details supplied) in County Clare.

The two persons named will be paid cattle headage and calf premium grants in due course when the batches containing their applications are processed.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when headage payments and calf subsidies will be made to persons (details supplied) in County Clare.

The first person named has been paid cattle headage and calf premium grants already.

The second person named has an offfarm income and has been requested to submit his income tax assessment form. His applications for cattle headage and suckler cow grants cannot be processed until he does so.

The third person named will be paid cattle headage and calf premium grants in due course when the batch containing these applications is processed. His suckler cow grants will be paid in April.

The fourth person named has been paid cattle headage, calf premium and calved heifer grants already.

465.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason a farm modernisation grant has not been paid to persons (details supplied) in County Galway; the amount that will be paid; the date on which it will be paid; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The grant of £3,280 will be paid shortly together with a number of other grants certified about the same time.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if a heifer and suckler cow scheme grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The person named will be paid his 1983 calved heifer grant in due course when the batch which includes his payment is processed and will be paid his 1983 suckler cow grant in April 1984 after the six months period for retention of cows specified in that scheme expires for all applicants.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason for the delay in the payment of a headage grant and calf subsidies to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; and when these grants will be paid.

The person named will be paid his cattle headage and calf premium grants in due course when the batches which include his payments are processed.

Payment was delayed in this case because the person named was not the registered herd owner and it was necessary to have him registered before payment could be made.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason for the delay in paying grants for the building of a holding yard for cattle to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

There is no record of an application for grant aid under the farm modernisation scheme from the person mentioned.
