A sum of £100,000 was allocated to my Department in the budget to develop a programme which was initiated last year to help young people in various deprived areas. While I am not yet in a position to say whether a grant will be available from this fund to support a full-time worker in Ballymun I can confirm that the Ballymun youth action project, which received a grant of £3,000 in 1983, will receive serious consideration in the distribution of the 1984 fund.
