There is no record of the receipt in my Department of an application for a tax rebate from the person referred to in the question. The question of tax rebates is a matter for the Office of the Revenue Commissioners and it has been ascertained that there is no record in that office of an application for a tax rebate in this case. If the person referred to considers that he is entitled to a tax rebate, he should apply direct to the Inspector of Taxes for Public Departments, Hawkins House, Hawkins Street, Dublin 2, quoting his revenue and social insurance number.
