The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that the taxpayer ceased employment on 23 March 1984. She called to the tax office on 25 April 1984 and lodged a claim to repayment of tax on the grounds of unemployment. A review of her liability for the year 1983-84 disclosed a small underpayment. Details of the review will be issued to her shortly.
There is no information available to the inspector to indicate that the taxpayer is entitled to a refund of tax for any earlier year.
