Vol. 350 No. 8

Written Answers. - Family Planning Clinic.

552.

asked the Minister for Health the reason the pilot family planning clinic which was to have been operated through health clinics in Finglas has not yet opened.

The Eastern Health Board agreed to facilitate a group of doctors in the Finglas area to provide a family planning service from the health centre. Discussions were held with a number of general practitioners in the area which have not yet concluded. The newly formed medical organisation have been studying the provision of family planning services by general practitioners and have agreed to discuss the proposed clinic with the board when their review is completed. This is expected shortly.
