Payment of the grants sanctioned by my Department towards improvements in the national school referred to by the Deputy is a matter for the Commissioners of Public Works. I understand from the commissioners that they have sought a report as to the progress made with the works in question, and I am asking them for an indication as to when it may be possible to make a payment. I shall communicate the outcome in due course to the school authorities and to the Deputy.
