I am informed that the average cost per job for projects approved by the Industrial Development Authority under their various programmes, in 1983 is as follows:

In 1983, 11,450 first-time jobs were created by the IDA in grant-aided industry. Total capital and training grants made by IDA in 1983 amounted to £121.5 million.
The Deputy will appreciate that a number of the first-time jobs created in 1983 arise from grant payments made in previous years. Similarly a number of jobs will be created this year arising from grant payments made in 1983.
