I move:
That a sum not exceeding £11,266,000 be granted to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of December, 1984, for the salaries and expenses of the Houses of the Oireachtas, including certain grants-in-aid, and for certain expenses in connection with the European Assembly.
The total provision here is increased by 10 per cent for 1984 over 1983. As Deputies will see, there are no very major increases in any of the items in absolute terms. This provision will cover the activities of the Houses of the Oireachtas and provisions that we have to make in relation to the European Assembly for this year.
