Vol. 351 No. 6

Written Answers. - Clondalkin (Dublin) Round Tower.

545.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out to the round tower at Clondalkin, Dublin 22, in view of the fact that this is a State monument and is at present in a dangerous condition.

Clondalkin round tower, a national monument in the ownership of the Commissioners of Public Works, is regularly inspected in view of the risk of structural damage from the volume of heavy traffic passing close by. The latest inspection indicates that the round tower is not in a dangerous condition nor are any repairs necessary. The commissioners will continue to monitor the condition of the round tower.
