Commercial salmon fishing licences in respect of a several fishery are issued by the regional fisheries board concerned in accordance with the provisions of Article 8 of the Control of Fishing for Salmon Order 1980, (S.I. No. 380 of 1980).
With regard to documentation, it is a matter for the regional fisheries board concerned to satisfy itself as to the ownership of a several fishery. Occupiers of rated fisheries pay rates on their properties to regional fisheries boards.
