I am fully committed to the development of an efficient information system on disabled persons. A system established in 1981 is being developed to varying degrees in each health board area. I consider that the rate of progress needs to be reviewed and this is now being done by the National Rehabilitation Board. This review will establish to what extent, if any, further resources will need to be allocated to ensure an effective system.
